The Nightclub
Site Location: 336 Spring St., New York, NY 10013
Project Description: Interior redesign of the Spring Street Salt Shed, transforming it into a nightclub.
Concept: The design draws inspiration from the collision of ice shelves, merging the faceted exterior of the Salt Shed with the dynamic flow of the Hudson River. The interior is conceived as an immersive "icebox" experience, capturing the power and fluidity of nature.
Key Design Elements: The interior design features angled metal panels lining the walls, with blue lighting subtly glowing through the gaps, creating a cool, atmospheric effect. Platforms are strategically integrated and extruded from the walls, adding depth and texture to the space, while suspended platforms further enhance the spatial dynamics. A suspended ceiling, embedded with blue lighting, ties the design together, evoking the immersive feeling of being inside an icebox
